| Ok, so here's a Sesame Street Magazine cover from the 70s I found online. Pretty bizarre/disturbing/weird.

| ...And I just sneezed.
Merry Christmas!

| So, here's a scenario that recently happened at the post office.
This husband and wife clean the post office, and the husband was outside in the parking lot, working. He got hit by a truck. The truck stops, the driver pops his head out of the window, yells "sorry I hit you," and drives off. The husband, of course, was badly injured.
Unbelievable.

| Dear Internet,
I had no idea it'd been this long since I'd updated my Xanga blog. I mean, sure, I knew it'd been a while, but, man, that's a pretty long time. Sorry everybody. Anyway, I'm back, at least for now. I usually like to save a blog entry until I have something actually interesting to write or say and, come on, that's not that often. Zing!
I can't believe it's already December, that's kind of amazing. I thought about it today, and it's six (6) months till I graduate with my Masters in Teaching. On the one hand, that's a lot of time. And the other, HOLY SHIT. I still have a crap load of stuff I need to do, too, which sucks. I have this really snooty, important dumb paper I have to write, which, of course, is always a hoot. I had been procrastinating the third Section of the paper for a little while (last week I got little done on it before the Thanksgiving super weekend rolled around).
When you get out of your work groove for a while, it's really hard to get back into it. Everything else sounds more fun/enticing/easier/less complicated. "I could work on my paper all morning, but there's a show on 80s songs I've only seen 40 times!" Gee, I wonder what wins.
I started working on my paper on Monday, but I woke up at 11 am, and then there was the lure of J's breakfast. I did a little homework, read a bit for class, and then hung out with my buds from four till about 2 in the morning. Oh well, we did get to do "Karaoke from Hell," which is becoming a Monday tradition (more on that in a different post). On Tuesday, I started working on it, until I realized that there was another big project due on the class website on Wednesday in lieu of actual class. Shit, I thought, guess I got to do that. So that took about 2 hours. After that, I decided to wait till Wednesday to do the paper.
So I watched a movie. During the film, the phone rang. There had been an incident in a classroom, and a colleague needed me to sub for them. I need money, so I obliged. So there went Wednesday. The plan when I got home was to work on the paper until six (that's about 3 hours), and then I had my other sorta job (I took a student swimming once a week at night, usually on Fridays but Zach and I are going to a show on Friday, and tonight. Yay!) at 6:15. I then decided to write it on Thursday (today). I set the clock for 6. Then last night, I decided to set it for 7 am.
At 7:12, I woke up. I then received a phone call from another colleague, asking if I could sub today for another teacher. I politely declined, I really had to write this paper. Well, I guess me turning down a job was the motivation I needed to finish this paper. So, I wrote the rough draft, it took about two and a half hours, but it wasn't that bad. I just am a master procrastinator sometimes.
The next couple of weeks will be spent editing and fine tuning the paper, this is the big one (well, at least for now, till the next big paper). I got an email from my professor from GFU today though, and she congratulated me that I am completely done with my work sample from last term (this 137 page paper detailing my first student teaching gig). I had been done with it for several weeks, but I guess she just got done reading it. Don't blame her, she has to read like 20 something of those. Oh boy!
Ok, Internet, that's a lot of information for you to compute, so I guess I'll wrap things to a close. In addition to updating my Xanga site more, I really should update my movie blog more (even though I did write a review yesterday...)
All right, talk to you later.
Hugs and Kisses,
Spamadam007
